You’re training. You’re trying. You’re making better choices.
But the weight isn’t shifting. Before you start thinking "it’s my hormones", "it's my age" or "I must be broken" - let’s look at the probable causes and the solution.....

A question we hear all the time:
“I’m coming to the gym, eating better, and making more of an effort… so why am I not seeing results?” Let’s look at this in more detail. When Ita Bradshaw first joined Evolutis, she had one simple goal in mind:
“To get fitter, stronger - and tone up.” Fast forward to now, and she’s done exactly that (and then some). Let’s be honest.
You’re not always going to feel motivated. Life is busy. Work is stressful. The weather’s crap or amazing! The kids are wrecking your head. And suddenly the idea of showing up to train feels like a mountain. But here’s the truth: Let’s be honest. Training is powerful. It boosts strength. Builds confidence. Reduces injury risk.
But here’s the truth. Training alone won’t fix everything. You can’t out-train a diet that’s all over the place. You can’t undo stress, poor sleep, and too many beers with a few squats. And if you want to feel genuinely better and live longer and live better then what you do outside the gym matters just as much as what you do inside it. Here’s what you need to know and more importantly what to do. Let’s not sugarcoat this.
If you’re trying to feel better, drop body fat, move more, get stronger or just build momentum in your training... Alcohol is one of those things that either fits in - or it doesn’t. It’s not about perfection. You’re allowed to enjoy yourself. But when you’re drinking regularly and still wondering why you feel stuck, tired, bloated or off-track A little bit of real talk for you today.
You can’t future proof your health, build meaningful strength, or undo years and years of neglect or wear and tear in 6 weeks. And yet, so many people still treat getting back into fitness or a 6 week programme like it’s the final destination. Like it’s some magic reset button or a total life/body transformation. So maybe Easter got the better of you. Or the last few months have flown by and summer's getting closer.
Whatever the reason - if you're thinking, "Right, time to finally get moving again" - here's where to start. You don't need a gym. You don't need fancy gear. And you definitely don't need to be "fit" to begin. Here are 5 solid exercises we recommend to anyone starting (or restarting) their fitness journey: Let’s be honest for a second.
If you’ve spent the last few months (or years) doing bootcamp classes, circuits, spin, dance, Zumba, or sweat style workouts that leave you dripping and gasping for air but your body hasn’t changed much, you’re not alone. And more importantly, you’re not doing anything wrong. But you might be missing something. Let’s be honest — the first few weeks of any training programme are usually the hardest.
You’ve signed up. You’ve got that initial burst of motivation (kind of). You’re trying to eat a bit better. You’re showing up to sessions. But then life happens. Work gets mad. One of the kids gets sick. You miss a session. You’re a bit sore. The motivation dips. And you start thinking... “Maybe this just isn’t the right time.” This is exactly where most people start slipping. And eventually stop |
