When most people start training or improving their nutrition, they want results fast. A flatter stomach. More energy. Better sleep. Feeling stronger in the gym. And while you can see some changes quite quickly, the truth is that meaningful progress takes time. The real wins happen when you start playing the long game. Why the long game matters
Short term fixes are everywhere. Crash diets. Six week shreds. Endless cardio. The problem is they rarely last. Research shows that up to 80 percent of people who lose weight on restrictive diets regain it within a year (Source: Harvard Health). Our approach at Evolutis is to focus less on quick outcomes and more on consistent behaviours that line up with your values. In other words, progress comes from what you do repeatedly, not what you do once. What progress really looks like
These are the markers of progress that last. How to measure it It is fine to use the scales or body measurements as part of the picture, but they are not the whole story. Ask yourself:
If the answer is yes to any of the above, you are making progress even if the scales are slow to move. A simple takeaway Progress is not built on perfection. It is built on consistency. Small choices, repeated over time, compound into big results. One missed session or one takeaway is not failure. As James Clear wrote in Atomic Habits, missing once is a mistake but missing twice is the start of a new habit. The key is to reset quickly and keep moving forward. The bottom line If you want results that last, stop chasing the quick fix and start playing the long game. Build habits you can actually live with. Be patient. Be consistent. And remember that progress is as much about how you feel as what you see in the mirror. If you want help building strength, improving your fitness and creating habits that stick, our 6 Week Kickstart is designed for exactly that.
