WHAT WOULD YOU DO FOR YOUR KIDS?

You've probably said "I'd do anything for my kids" at some point, right?

As a father of 5 I know there have been times where I have felt very strongly about letting people and the world know that messing with or upsetting my kids is a BIG mistake!

I was reading something on this particular topic by a person/trainer I have followed for years....
John Goodman.

He speaks a LOT of sense when it comes to fitness, health & wellness.

No fluff. No nonsense. No fads. No gimmicks.

I've a lot of respect for him because of that.

Because what he says is usually well thought out and makes a lot of sense to me.

He was talking about the idea that "you" would do ANYTHING for your kids.

He asked the question "would you die for your kids?"....

You'd probably say yes, right?

But then he asked something profound.

"Would you get healthy for your kids?".....

And this is the point of the email I'm sending you today.

As a busy 40+ parent you probably focus on the daily slog, running around, being "tired" & stressed.

Doing ANYTHING for your kids.

When in actual fact what your kids want is for you to be fit, healthy & happy.

To be present.

To be around for as long as possible.

To prioritise you, so that you can show up and continue to be around for them.

You're probably thinking that I can't possibly understand how difficult it is for you to balance & juggle everything you have to take care of.

And you'd be right.

I don't know you personally.

But I can offer you a few personal & practical insights that might help you to free up some time.

Things that work for me, that may work for you...

  1. Check your "time on Facebook/Instagram" - give 2-3 of those hours per week to a daily walk
  2. Have a look at your laptop/PC/device screen time - allocate 2-3 hours to strength training
  3. Carry out a Netflix box set review - reduce those hours and give 2-3 hours per week to no technology/device time
  4. Audit last weeks meals & schedule - save hours/reduce stress by simplifying this for next week

I hope that helps.
