DO YOU FEEL LIKE THIS?
I was talking to someone this week about something which I found kind of upsetting.
You see this person has achieved some awesome things with their health, fitness & strength.
The thing is - the stresses and strains of life have got in the way.
To the point where this person feels as though they are off track and have taken a few backwards steps.
So much so that they are very self conscious and think that other people may be looking at or judging them.
...and this upset me for one reason......
Because I don't think anyone should feel this way....
The thing I pointed out was this.
The reality is that nobody cares.
What I meant by that was....
....EVERYONE has hang ups and is a little bit self conscious.
So much so that when they are training they are absolutely NOT looking at or judging others.
ESPECIALLY in our gym!
Our members are 100% in the same boat and dealing with the same stresses, strains, anxieties and pressures of work, family & life in general.
So there is a HUGE amount of empathy & respect shown to others.
It's so important that this is the case that one of our core values is SHOW KINDNESS!
The point I tried to make was this.
We ALL struggle a little.
Success also doesn't ever happen in a straight line and so taking a few steps back is actually normal and usually part of the process.
So my advice was to get the head up again, continue to show up & do the things that make you feel good.
Like training with us or hanging out with the other awesome members of our community for example!
If you've felt similar to the above...
....that you have achieved things with your fitness, health or strength in the past....
....but have fallen back...
Try not to let it get you down.
It's normal & you can and will get yourself back on track again. :)
