One of the problems you may have faced with making the decision to get (re)started on improving your health & fitness has probably been a bit of fear of the unknown.
Walking into a new gym by yourself.
Not knowing anyone......
....Feeling nervous & apprehensive because you don't know what to do.
Or how to do it.....
Maybe you will be the unfittest person in the room?
Where the hell is the toilet??
(Or the exit!!)
I get it.
I've seen and heard this over the last 10 years.
It's normal to be a little apprehensive.
The great thing about our community however is the fact that we are well used to bringing newbies in.
Making you feel welcome.
Showing you what to do and guiding you while you do it.
The even better thing about our community is the friendships that have been formed over the years.
People who didn't know each other before are now lifelong friends.
Take Lynda & Fiona for example.
They didn't know each other before they joined but they attended for their first session or two at the same time.
Fast forward a few short months and they are now supporting each other by agreeing to book into sessions at the same time & going for walks outside the gym....
In other words holding each other accountable.
For example the other night I bumped into Lynda & Fiona at one of our evening sessions & Lynda said...
"I wouldn't have shown up if Fiona hadn't given me the push to show up today. I was feeling a little bit unmotivated to come but Fiona encouraged me to show up!"
I asked Lynda how she felt after the session...
"GREAT! I'm so glad I came as I feel so much better......"
My point is this - even if you don't know someone when you join - you will be made to feel 100% welcome by the whole community.
And it's very likely you'll meet some awesome like minded normal people - just like yourself.
Meaning that you won't be doing this by yourself and instead will be doing it with friends....
Hope that helps!
