I was talking to a couple of members this morning about the type of progress we want to see with their training. You see right now we have all the members looking to add extra reps each week. In other words - Increase the volume. Because we want to make and see some form of progress each week..... ....and this approach is the basis on which we are building real improvements in strength over the next few months.... The issue is when you try to rush the process.... To go from picking up 5kg weights on week 1 and trying or expecting to pick up 20kg weights a couple of weeks later!
The truth is that trying to improve by 100% every week isn't realistic or feasible. And this should actually be a motivator for you. Because slow and steady increases in your strength & endurance is perfectly normal. So with this in mind you should commit to taking the long term approach. (Or in other words commit to a healthy lifestyle....) Avoid the boom and bust frustration. The all or nothing approach. Simply commit to being a little better than you were the day before.... In other words.... Commit to things like....
And then think of where you will be in 12 months. I'm not exaggerating when I say if you take this approach to your health & fitness you'll be AMAZED at what you can achieve in a year. You can literally transform your physical & mental health for the better. Make sense? Chat soon... David "1% better every day..." Knowles
