Strength Training - Why Is It SO Important?
Most people join a gym ONLY to lose weight.
However - if this is your SOLE focus, you may be missing out on the biggest life changing benefits of strength training.
Let me put this into context for you.......
From the age of 40 - certain things will happen that we have no control over.
For example - we can't stop the biological or chronological ageing process, right?
To be more specific, beyond the age of 40, if you DO NOT build or maintain strength you will see the following things happening (and compounding) each year like.....
In other words, if you do nothing, you will become less mobile and more dependent on others much faster as you age.
The GOOD NEWS is that we can DIRECTLY impact the speed (slow them down!) of these processes and therefore positively impact your long term health, wellness & HEALTHSPAN......
.....and we can do this by consistently building and/or maintaining your strength over the long term.
By the way - if you prioritise strength training with the reasons above in mind, fat loss and changes in your body composition will follow.
